Clay Dogs

The kids and I were looking through a craft book this afternoon, hoping to find something that would interest all three of us, when we came across a page of cute miniature clay animals.  Considering Ethan's play doh expedition last week, I asked him if he would enjoy making little animals that he could actually keep rather than destroy after craft time was over.  He really liked that idea, so off we went to Hobby Lobby to get modeling clay.

Once supper was over, we got out the supplies and had a ton of fun making these little dogs.  The kids both felt they had to make whatever I was making, so we ended up with three dogs, each with their own character (I personally think Katie's purple dog is the cutest).

The kids haven't seen them now that they're out of the oven.  They'll enjoy the finished product tomorrow morning.

Ethan's puppy.  He had to have a tongue so he could lap up the water.

All three dogs.

I think we could start a pound!
